Dr. McKnight Is Nominated for the Texas Dentist of the Year™ Award!

When we first created our blog all those years ago, our goal was to provide new and existing patients with information on everything from trending dental topics to important office updates. Today, we are excited to share some extremely exciting news: Dr. McKnight has been nominated for the Texas Dentist of the Year™ Award! Keep reading to learn more about this prestigious recognition from the Dallas Academy of General Dentistry and the Texas Academy of General Dentistry.

What the Texas Dentist of the Year™ Award Means

Each year, only 14 dentists in all of Texas are nominated for the Academy of General Dentistry’s (Texas AGD) Texas Dentist of the Year^TM Award. The Texas AGD President, Dr. Ben Bratcher, shared that “The Texas AGD Dentist of the Year^TM award represents the heart and soul of volunteers that make up this amazing organization and others throughout Texas. This award represents an achievement in one’s career and their dedication to the profession of dentistry.” Each nominee will be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the field and will receive an engraved plaque during the Texas Academy Awards. Recognitions like these are a great honor and a testament to Dr. McKnight’s commitment to and passion for dentistry.

Dr. McKnight’s Educational Background

Dr. McKnight earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry, and he has spent the last 30+ years helping his patients get the quality-first, patient-driven, truly personalized dental care they need. A few of his accomplishments outside the office include earning his Fellowship with the American Academy of Dentistry, the International Academy of Dentistry, and the American College of Dentists. Throughout the years, he has also completed more than 2,500 hours of continuing education, studying dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, complex restorative dentistry, and more. What truly makes him stand out, however, is his approach to care. For him, understanding each patient’s dental needs and smile goals are a top priority. His goal is always to help you make an informed decision on what is best for your oral and overall health.
